About Me

My photo
I am 29 and loving life! I have been married to Mark 6 years. We have wonderful family and friends! We had our son Maxwell Liam August 21st, 2009 and are crazy about the little guy! I am a full time working mom so always busy and on the go! I try to spend every free second with our little man! Coming home to his smiling face makes the long days at work and rollercoaster of our daily lives worth traveling! We praise God for our lil miracle every day! "I pray that my children may grow in the grace & knowledge of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ"- 2 Peter 3:18

Fall

I love that fall is quickly approaching! The cooler weather has been so nice since August was so terribly hot this year. Fall time in Northwest Arkansas is my favorite time of the year. Razorback football, pumpkin patches, gorgeous leaves, and Halloween parties! Mark and I took Max to Silver Dollar City this week. We had such a good time. The weather was perfect. We ate A LOT of good food, rode some rides and had some great pics taken. We had a few days off this week so we have been trying to get some things done around the house. I am having a garage sale on Saturday to make some extra money and to also clean out some space in the garage.

Max's 1st Birthday

Max turned 1 on August 21st! We had a pool party for him with a lot of close friends. Even Mr. Marshall came to sing on his horse :) The past year flew by. He is no longer a baby and is quickly becoming a lil toddler and is into everything- makes me sad but I love this age! He is getting such a personality and is a lot of fun. He is definitely a mommy's boy and I am enjoying it while it lasts.

August is full of Birthdays

We went to Melbourne first of August to celebrate all of the July and August birtdays in my family. My neice Baily turned 1 on July 15th. I turned 29 August 1st, My mamaw turned 75 August 8th, and Max and my brother Cary both share a birthday on August 21st. August 22nd is my late pawpaws birthday so we love to celebrate with everyone!

catching up!

i haven't written on my blog in soooo long! Things have been crazy busy as always with work. Mark, Max and I took a vacation in July to Florida. We had so much fun. It was definitely a vacation I'll never forget. Max playing in the sand on the beach, a day a Disney. Great, great, memories!

Some days are too crazy

Sometimes I feel like this picture!!! Trying to work full time, attend 10 meetings and be on my toes at work all day, be a full time mom and wife just takes more energy than i have. Somedays I wish i had 10 hands and two bodies :)
This week was a rough one for Max. He fell down at school on Wednesday while he was trying to pull up and bumped his lip. Then Thursday I received a call at work from daycare that Max had a rash and I needed to come get him. I drove to PCA like a mad woman to get him to the DR in time. Luckily we found out it was just something minor. Always something! The nurse did tell me that he has ANOTHER ear infection. So we are on our 5th round of antibiotics already this year. I see tubes in our future! I am going to wait until the fall or late summer to have his procedure. I know he will feel so much better in the long run even though the thought of surgery is very scary. Wahooo, at least it is Friday! I am counting down the days to VACATION.

Summertime

I love summertime so much! Warm weather and being outside.....laying out by the pool and going to the Farmer's market on the square.... We have been spending most of our time at the pool while daddy golfs. Max loves the water but most of all he loves watching the other kids play. He splashes his hands and kicks. He loves to kick his feet in the kiddie pool and also loves for me to hold him and do circles in the big pool but holds onto mommy real tight! I am constantly applying sunscreen as he refuses to keep his hat on. He will take it off and throw it into the water. We enjoyed time with the Spencer family at the pool while the boys golfed. I remember being a kid and playing at the pool all day and getting so tired from being in the sun all day. It has the opposite effect on Max. He will not take his afternoon naps when we get home. I guess he is just too excited from the fun he had with the other kids. Max finally took a sippy cup this weekend! The NUBY sippy worked! He drank two full cups of apple juice out of the NUBY! yay! We also stopped by one of Mark's friends 30th birthday parties. There was a band playing on the patio and Max loved the music. I put cotton balls in his ears - I was afraid the music was just too loud for lil man.

Memorial Day Weekend

Mark's family came into town for Memorial Day weekend. Max enjoyed playing with his cousins Claire and Lola Kate. We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was great to catch up. Sunday evening we grilled out and the kids played bean bag toss and in the kiddie pools in our backyard. The guys golfed on Monday while Ami and I hit the Memorial Day sales at the mall. We found lots of good deals! Max got new swimming trunks and t-shirts to take on our upcoming July vacation. It was a fun, long weekend!
